The trust check
Six things worth knowing before someone waxes you.
Booking a stranger for something this personal takes trust. So every spot gets the same simple check of what you can verify for yourself — not a rating, not an ad. Unknowns stay unknown.
- 01
It’s a real place
Sourced from the studio’s own website or booking page, with a street address. Service-area marketing pages don’t count.
- 02
You can see inside
Photos of the actual room and work — labeled and credited. Never AI-generated, never scraped from a map.
- 03
No price games
Prices from the studio’s own menu, linked, with the date we checked. If they don’t publish prices, we say so.
- 04
Reviews you can verify
We link the review pages so you can read them yourself. We never invent, average or “adjust” ratings.
- 05
You can see their work
Their Instagram, so you can judge the brows, the lashes and the vibe before you go.

They’re open when you are
Published hours in local time, with an open-now filter for the night-before panic.
FIRST TIME? TOTALLY NORMAL.Your first wax,
Your first wax,
minus the nerves.
Everyone has a first time. The best estheticians have seen it all and genuinely don’t judge. Here’s what to ask before you book, so you walk in knowing what to expect.
- Hard or soft wax?Hard wax is often used for sensitive areas. Ask what they use for your treatment.
- A fresh applicator every dip?“No double-dipping” is a fair thing to ask about. Good studios are happy to explain their hygiene routine.
- What does the price include?Check the service variant, add-ons and whether a first visit costs more.
- How should I prep?Ask about hair length and anything to avoid beforehand, like certain skincare or sun exposure.
