WHY SMOOTH SPOTS

Trust first.
Then book.

Letting a stranger wax, laser or shape you is personal. Most people solve that by asking a friend. Smooth Spots is for when you don’t have one to ask — or want to double-check the one you got. We show what you can verify for yourself: real photos, published prices, review sources, Instagram and hours. No paid rankings, no invented ratings.

Smooth Spots helps people find waxing, sugaring, laser hair removal, threading, brow and lash providers, compare their published services, and contact them directly. We’re starting with Greater Los Angeles and building toward a national directory.

A first collection, with room to grow.

Our launch collection includes 231 physical locations across 42 neighborhood and city groups. It is a researched starting point, not a complete inventory of LA studios. Owner-verified profiles are marked individually after review.

Where the details come from.

We use first-party studio websites and booking links published by the business. Where direct retrieval was unavailable, we reviewed search-indexed pages from the official website. Every profile links to its sources and shows when we checked them. A source-check date does not mean the studio updated the page that day.

We keep separate branches as separate locations. Published opening hours use Los Angeles local time; they do not guarantee appointment availability. Unknown hours stay unknown. Initials appear when we have not sourced a usable business logo.

Waxing, sugaring and laser hair removal have separate filters. We include a laser category only when the provider publishes laser hair removal at that location. Service menus can vary by location and client needs, so please confirm with the studio before booking.

A closer look at each studio.

Photos come from official studio websites, linked booking profiles, or credited coverage of a studio opening. We label interiors, exteriors, studio work and team photos separately, and link every image to its source. A treatment or team photo does not show the premises. We leave photos out when we cannot establish their relevance. Images may show an earlier appearance of the space. Owners can request a replacement or removal through the correction form.

Reviews, with their sources.

Profiles link to matching review pages where we can identify them. When a score and review count are available, we show the platform and the date checked. These are snapshots, not live ratings, and we never average different platforms together. A score displayed on a studio website is labeled with that source. Studio-selected testimonials are separate from independent reviews. Follow the original links to read recent feedback and the full range of experiences.

Find them on social.

Social links come from studio and operator websites or matching booking profiles. Each account includes its source and check date. We distinguish accounts for an individual studio from shared brand accounts that may feature other locations. A sourced link does not mean the account has a platform verification badge or that every post shows this location.

What a listing means.

Inclusion is not an endorsement, partnership, or quality rating. We don’t invent reviews, star ratings, or prices. Business names and logos identify the studios and belong to their respective owners.

For studio owners.

Claim requests and suggested corrections are free. Requests are held for review; submitting a form does not change a public profile or prove ownership. Ownership should be established through a business contact that was independently published before the request.

Why Winback Engine?

This directory is a Winback Engine project. Alongside helping people discover local studios, we want to meet business owners who need help reconnecting with past customers. Owners can choose to ask about that service. It is separate from a free directory listing.
